Philadelphia is a city full of history; not only for the U.S. but also for these two lovebirds. The groom lives in Philly, and they most often chose their dating locations in downtown Center City. The couple wanted to stop at as many special landmarks as possible, and I certainly enjoyed the challenge of shooting at all of those places. We started out the engagement shoot at Rittenhouse Square, and made our way to City Hall, LOVE Park, and finally Race Street Pier under the Ben Franklin Bridge, where the groom had proposed to his bride. We made it to the Pier just in time for sunset, and we were having so much fun that we just kept shooting until it was completely dark.
Here are some from City Hall, where we replicated the iconic photo in front of the massive historical building…
As we made our way to our next location, I spotted some awesome steps and had to grab some shots there. I love Philadelphia.
There is a spot in the center of City Hall that is pretty awesome; I had never walked through before, but I am sure glad we did!
Another well-known location in downtown Philly is Rittenhouse Square. It is a beautiful park to walk through.
And who can skip LOVE Park for engagement photos??? There is an awesome fountain behind the letters.
Then we headed to Race Street Pier for our final desination and sunset/twilight photos. It is a beautiful spot underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge with some great views.
To say that I had a great time would be a complete understatement. I LOVED every moment of this shoot. This couple was awesome, and I can’t wait to post previews of their wedding.
